Spend this summer singing, dancing and acting in MAPA’s Summer Musical Theatre Camp, culminating in 10 public performances of Disney’s Frozen, Jr.
We’ve expanded the hours of the camp to include a 3 week conservatory program with classes in singing, dancing, acting plus other performance skills like stage combat, scenic design, stage make-up, how to read music, and more! The conservatory classes are taught by professional teaching artists and some of Maui’s top performers.

Firmly rooted in the philosophy that sustained, regular participation in the arts is essential to the development of young people, MAPA’s Summer Musical Theatre Camp provides each student with 240 hours of instructional, rehearsal and performance time.
MAPA was founded in 1974 and our Summer Musical Theatre Camp has been around longer than any other performing arts camp on Maui. All those years of experience means our camp is finely tuned to deliver the highest quality experience possible – both educationally and artistically. Each student is nurtured so that they grow as an artist and as a person.
The camp attracts students from Maui, other Hawaiian islands and the mainland. Participants come from a wide range of ethnic and economic backgrounds and range in age from 8-18. Students often cite the close friendships they develop with other students as one of the highlights of the camp each year.
MAPA’s educational programs are delivered under the artistic leadership of David Johnston and the educational leadership of Carolyn Wright. Each year they hire and train a team of highly qualified directors and teaching artists to work with the students in the camp. The teacher-to-student ratio is 9:1 to ensure a positive and productive experience for all participants.
